The TEAM Project (Telemedicine Education Advancement through Micro-credentials), co-financed by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme, has reached a key milestone with the completion of a common methodology for analysis. This methodology will serve as the foundation for research within Work Package 2 (WP2), guiding partners from six European countries—Belgium, Slovenia, Croatia, Greece, Ukraine, and Romania—in conducting a comprehensive analysis of the needs in telemedicine education and the industry.

By standardizing research parameters, the methodology ensures data comparability across countries, enabling a detailed overview of the telemedicine sector in Europe. This approach highlights key challenges, such as gaps in digital literacy, while also identifying growth opportunities.

This marks the beginning of in-depth research within WP2, focusing on mapping existing telemedicine education programs and industry partnerships. The findings will be crucial for overcoming barriers to telemedicine integration and developing flexible training programs for healthcare professionals to acquire essential digital skills.

Through this initiative, the TEAM Project is fostering innovation in telemedicine education and supporting the digital transformation of healthcare services across Europe. The research results will play a pivotal role in shaping the project’s next phases, ensuring the development of training materials that meet the growing demand for telemedicine professionals, especially in regions with urgent healthcare needs.
