Background: The TEAM project, a collaborative telemedicine education initiative co-financed by the EU, reached a key milestone on 17 September 2024 with a project meeting in Brussels. Hosted by the Institut de Haute Formation aux Politiques Communautaires (IHF), the meeting brought together partners from six European countries: Belgium, Slovenia, Romania, Croatia, Greece, and Ukraine.

Key Areas of Focus:

  1. Completion of WP2 – Telemedicine Education and Industry Partnership Mapping: The consortium reviewed the Executive Summary of WP2, which identified key gaps in telemedicine education, infrastructure, and skills across participating countries.

  2. Transition to WP3 – Development of Training Material: The project now moves into WP3, focused on creating training materials to improve digital health and telemedicine education, based on WP2 findings and aligned with global best practices.

Next Steps:

The training materials developed in WP3 will be tested and validated via a digital learning platform, providing healthcare and IT students, as well as professionals, with essential telemedicine skills.

The Brussels meeting marked the near-completion of TEAM’s first year, setting the stage for the project’s next phase and reinforcing its commitment to advancing digital health education in Europe.
