As part of the international TEAM project (Telemedicine Education Advancement through Micro-credentials), Work Package 3 (WP3) has been successfully implemented. This work package focused on the development and implementation of an innovative curriculum in the field of telemedicine and digital health.

Key Goals and Outcomes of WP3

The main objective of WP3 was to enhance the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of students and healthcare professionals through modular training in the form of micro-credentials, aligned with European educational standards and the needs of the modern healthcare system.

WP3 effectively addressed identified gaps in education related to:

  • telemedicine technologies,
  • data security and privacy,
  • electronic health records,
  • digital health ethics,
  • remote patient monitoring,
  • clinical decision-making supported by digital tools.

Through collaboration among all project partners, a comprehensive curriculum was developed, consisting of 9 educational modules, each structured into 3 teaching units.

The Role of Kvarner Health Tourism Cluster

The Kvarner Health Tourism Cluster (Kvarner Health) was responsible for developing the module focused on Telemedicine in Public Health and Health Tourism.

Three teaching units were created, covering the following topics:

  1. Telemedicine in Public Health
  2. Telemedicine in Health Tourism
  3. Telemedicine as a Bridge Between Public Health and Health Tourism

NEXT STEPS:

Work Package 3 successfully achieved its goals and contributed to the creation of high-quality and applicable educational content for the field of telemedicine. Through WP3, the TEAM project lays the groundwork for the future of digital healthcare, enabling education that is accessible, flexible, and recognized at the European level.

The implementation of these modules in educational and professional programs is expected to further enhance the quality and accessibility of healthcare services through digital solutions.
