23/12/2022Kvarner Health at the 6th European HTI Summit
After 2019, when the last edition of the HTI Conference was held on location, and the 5th virtual edition in 2021, the 6th edition of the European HTI Summit was held at the European Parliament in Brussels, on Thursday, December 8. The host of the event was member of the European Parliament István Ujhelyi, vice-president of the Committee on Transport and Tourism, member of the Committee on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety and special ambassador of the UNWTO. It was a closed and invitation-only B2G event that brought together public officials and industry experts to make personal contacts through fruitful conversations about the challenges and opportunities in building health destinations.
HTI events have been gathering organizations and delegates from more than fifty countries, high public officials and professionals in medical, thermal and wellness tourism for many years. The virtual edition of the conference in 2021 brought together stakeholders who are dedicated to strengthening the development of Europe as a health destination and showing great examples of health tourism destinations. Such a trend continued in 2022, and some of the guests were the leaders of the European Spas Association (ESPA), the European Historical Thermal Towns Association (EHTTA), the European Association of Private Hospitals (UEHP) and other prominent organizations at the leadership networking session.
With ESPA as the organizing partner, India was the official networking partner of the EHTI Summit hosting a cocktail event and promoting international cooperation among health tourism destinations. For the 6th edition of the European HTI Summit, the president of the Cluster, assist. prof. Vladimir Mozetič, MD, PhD, received an invitation.
