The members of the Board of Directors of the Cluster were selected from eight sectors: educational-scientific, public medical, private health, dental and hotel sectors, as well as tourist boards, while the new sector included the health industry. The mandate of the members lasts two years, and the elected members are representatives of the following members of the Cluster: Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Thalassotherapia Opatija, Thalassotherapia Crikvenica, Clinical Hospital Centre Rijeka, Polyclinic Terme, Special Hospital Dr. Nemec, Rident Dental Clinics, Dental Medicine Center Orto-nova, Jadran hotels Rijeka, Liburnia Riviera Hotels, Kvarner Region Tourist Board, Mediteran Adria and Jadran-galenski laboratory.
At the Assembly, the report on work in 2021 and the work plan for 2022 were presented, and a brief review of the positive trend in the business of the Cluster, which by increasing membership proves the right direction of its work. The continuation of the development of health tourism and the health industry is the path that our region, as well as the whole of Croatia, has decided to follow. The added value created by this activity is significant, and at the same time our citizens receive better health care – it was concluded at the Assembly of the Association.
The Assembly of the Cluster was an opportunity for the director of the Kvarner Region Tourist Board, Irena Peršić Živadinov, to present the award for employee of the year in health tourism to Prim. Vlasta Brozičević, MD spec.
Kvarner Health does not miss the opportunity to present to its members the newly opened opportunities for cooperation and funding, so the Assembly’s daily agenda was preceded by presentations by two guest lecturers on the topic.
