The largest tourism fair in the world, ITB Berlin, took place from March 5 to 8, 2024. In as many as 27 halls, it gathered exhibitors from 165 countries of the world, where the state of Oman was this year’s host country. During the three-day fair, the ITB Berlin Convention took place, an event that, with more than 200 lectures, brought together the “brains” of the world tourism industry, who exchanged conclusions and forecasts about the future and new trends in tourism.

This year’s promotion of the Kvarner Health Tourism Cluster at the ITB fair took place at the recognizable stand of the Tourist Board of Kvarner together with the Tourist Board of the Island of Krk, the Tourist Board of Crikvenica, Jadran Hotels & Camps and Lošinj Hotels & Villas. The common stand was well visited, and the presentation of the region was very well prepared, and already on the first day of the fair, a press conference was held where it was announced that the Annual Assembly of the European Association RDA would be hosted.

Cluster members who also participated in ITB Berlin this year are the travel agency Mediteran Adria, Tourist Board of the City of Rijeka, Olivari.

In order to present the health tourism offer of Kvarner and all 39 members of the Cluster, to learn about new world trends in tourism and to achieve new partnerships, the Cluster also exhibited promotional materials at the stand of the Community of Health Tourism at the Croatian Chamber of Commerce as part of the ITB’s health tourism pavilion. Also, Cluster Manager Marija Banac participated as a panelist on the topic “Importance of Branding for Health Tourism Destination Promotion”, which was moderated by Ivan Rendulić, director of ZagrebMed.

The rich three-day program included presentations, panel discussions and interviews attended by health tourism experts from all over the world.

On this occasion, we would like to once again congratulate our member, the Tourist Board of Kvarner, which, in strong competition, won the prize of the film festival “The Golden City Gate” in Berlin for the promotional film “Make Your Own Movie”.
