11/03/2024The eleventh Annual Assembly of the Kvarner Health Tourism Cluster
At the Kvarner Health Tourism Cluster Assembly, held on February 28 in the premises of the Jadran galenski Laboratory, 25 cluster members adopted the report on the work of the Cluster in 2023 and confirmed the work plan for 2024.
The cluster will thus continue to develop projects aimed at strengthening and developing health tourism in Kvarner, in accordance with the strategic documents that define this tourist destination as a “health destination”. In order for the cluster projects and their members to be as successful as possible in the future, several lectures were held at the Assembly.
Velibor Drakulić, MD, in front of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Croatia, presented the legal framework for the provision of health services in health tourism. Vedran Kružić, director of the Regional Development Agency of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, gave a lecture on the possibility and method of financing projects, while Damir Medved, director of the EDIH Adria Project at the University of Rijeka, presented the mission and vision of the EDIH Adria Project. Dino Ćoza Saršon, deputy chairman of the JGL Board of Directors, presented an example of good business practice and presented the latest business achievements of JGL.
This year is also the election year of the Management Board of the Kvarner Health Tourism Cluster, so after voting, a unanimous decision was made to continue the mandate of the current members of the Management Board for the next two years.
The Kvarner health tourism cluster is an association that gathers 39 institutions from the medical, tourist and scientific sectors and the health industry. It was founded in 2014, and the continuous growth of the Cluster through the consolidation of membership and the results it achieves in positioning the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County as a destination for health and quality of life on a regional and global level confirms its mission and vision of development.
