Croatian medical tourism was recognized at the 7th European Medical Tourism conference, held on November 16 and 17, in Chianciano Terme, where the quality of health services of two top clinics from the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, members of the Kvarner Health Tourism Cluster, Terme Polyclinic and the Orto Nova Dental Medicine Center, were recognized. It is important to mention that the award ceremony was held in 5 categories with 25 subcategories, and 170 nominations.

Both clinics have been nurturing the tradition of family business for more than 30 years. Polyclinic Terme, already known, has modernized the health and tourist offer of the Crikvenica Riviera, following the rhythm and needs of the modern lifestyle. Terme Selce was nominated and won the “Life achievement experience and dynasties Award” under the category of “Special Medical Award”, whereby the role of Dr. Vlasta Brozičević as a promoter in the past more than 30 years of health tourism in our region at the international level is particularly highlighted. Center Orto Nova, with 15 offices and 60 highly qualified and professional employees, belongs to the very top of dental clinics in Croatia, which is why it won the award in the category “Best dental treatment for international patients”. The Kvarner Health Tourism Cluster was nominated in the categories for “Best Marketing Initiative of the Year” and “Best Association in Medical Tourism”.

This is the third year in a row that the Health Tourism Cluster of Kvarner and its members present the health tourism offer of Kvarner at the European Medical Tourism Conference. During the two-day program of the EMT conference, numerous B2B meetings were held, the focus of which was on the presentation of a unique recipe for health that only Kvarner has, the offers of the Cluster members were presented, and emphasis was placed on recognizing the need to restore the body and spirit of each individual. The visit of the Cluster and its members was organized with the support of the Kvarner Tourist Board.
