About us
The Mali Lošinj Tourist Board is the tourist association established for the area of the town of Mali Lošinj in order to create and promote the identity and reputation of tourism of the town of Mali Lošinj; for the planning and implementation of the joint strategy and the concept of development and to improve the overall quality of the tourist offer of the town.
In 1892 Veli and Mali Lošinj were declared climatic health resorts.
The health tourism on the island of Lošinj is based on a long tradition and is being developed in accordance with scientifically based knowledge of the influence of particular healing factors on the health and in harmony with nature and the rhythm of island life. That is why today we have a tendency towards a comprehensive system of services, in which the tourism activities and modern health care complement each other.
The Mali Lošinj Tourist Board cooperates with all the members in the Lošinj island area and encourages them in their offer and helps in the promotion of healthy and natural products and services based on the island’s natural healing factors.
Activities
1. encouraging and initiating the development and improvement of existing tourist products; initiating the development of new tourist products of the region in which they were established in a way to manage the destination at a level for which they were established;
2. promotion of the tourist product of the areas for which they were established;
3. development of the awareness of the importance and economic, social and other impacts of tourism, and the need and importance of preserving and improving all the elements of the tourist product of a certain area, and in particular the protection of the environment and the natural and cultural heritage in line with sustainable development.
